The villa is in a good location only a few minutes' walk to the strip adjacent the W hotel etc, and is a taxi ride away from eat street. Also villa and booking staff were friendly and helped us with whatever we asked. The villa is spacious, nicely designed and the pool and sun deck are lovely, and it was quite easy to get a taxi directly outside. Also reasonable value for money. However, the cleanliness and maintenance leave a bit to be desired - although the daily cleaning was decent, the overall cleanliness level is 'surface' only, with all the built up grime evident everywhere - on the kitchen bench, appliances, drawers etc, it's all sticky and there seems to be no dusting - the place hasn't had a proper 'good' clean for a long time which was quite disappointing. The appliances, e.g. the blender, I wouldn't even consider using because it was so gross. Although this cleanliness issue appears to be fairly consistent with many places in Bali, it still wasn't nice and not what you would expect of 4 star accommodation in other locations. I'd consider going back here but would ensure it was booked on the basis of having a good clean with all the grime removed. Kirsten

The staff are the best I have come across in my travels in Bali. So warm and friendly, and only too happy to help. The daily home cooked breakfast they provide is delicious and a great way to start any day. What a luxury. The very large and spacious rooms make for a very cosy home away from home. And the pool. there are no words to describe the luxury of the large private pool. Catherine

Due to flight delays we arrived quite late at night and yet there was a friendly driver waiting at the airport, all part of the package offered by oval villa. Upon arrival at the villa we were greeted by the very knowledgeable manager who made sure we had everything we could possibly have needed for that first night. He took our breakfast order and then after leaving us his business card and Whatsapp number left us to explore. Over the time we spent there the manager was incredibly helpful in organising day trips to various places, as well as arranging the boat trip to our next destination and ensuring that we had transport back to the airport arranged (even though this would be 4 days after checking out of oval villa). The area is fantastic with some great bars around but I would recommend that everyone that takes this accommodation tries the restaurant directly opposite the villa. OUT OF THIS WORLD. The accommodation was spectacular and very clean. Wifi was exceptional and the private pool just made it feel like paradise. I loved my time at oval villa and can't believe that I nearly missed out on this opportunity due to the lack of reviews. It's a new place and you definitely won't be disappointed. Angela

great stay. lovely pool. short walk to eateries. last day left a jacket in the villa. the manager made a great effort to send it to the next place we were staying. really apperciate it Sevakumar
