About Villa Vastu
Villa Vastu is the ultimate location for yoga retreats as it abides by the “Vastu” ideology that’s not unlike Feng Shui, which promotes harmony with nature. It stands as an oasis nestled in the rice paddies of Bali and hugging the edge of the Ayung river valley. This spacious two-story pavilion has more than enough room to host large parties and families looking to enjoy some of the location’s peace and ambience. You will only be 40 minutes away from the Ubud center and also in close proximity to the Hanging Gardens of Bali, which is a short walk away.
Outdoor and Pool Area
The garden area stretches to merge with the river valley to create an infinite outdoor environment where you can relax or explore to your heart’s content. A lotus pond is tucked somewhere in the backyard, and you can visit it when you need to clear your head and meditate. There is plenty of room for kids to play in as the well-manicured grass lawn provides an ideal spot for games of tag, soccer, or even hide and seek.
If you’re craving a swim, there is a beautiful infinity edge pool lined with sun-loungers where you can dry off or enjoy the tanning Bali sun while sipping on something cool. At the end of the day, you can relax in an alang-alang-roofed gazebo and watch the sun setting over the Ayung river valley—a sight you’ll cherish for as long as you live.
Living Areas
Stepping into the pavilion, you will be greeted by walls full of traditional paintings and artistic pieces that instill a sense of Balinese culture in every room. The main living area has plush rattan sofas facing a large flat screen TV. Going up a few steps will lead you to a dining area with a table large enough to seat ten. A stereo system with hidden speakers is also in the dining room, and you can pipe soft music while enjoying dinner with family and friends.
The pavilion branches out into another cozy space in the gardens where you’ll find a home office, a private spa, and a well-equipped entertainment room stocked to the brim with movies, books, and board games.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom takes up the entire top floor of the pavilion and is every bit as luxurious as you can imagine. Mirrored walls, a high alang-alang roof, a private balcony, and another lounge area complete with rattan sofas and a TV give you all the luxuries of the main house in your own bedroom. There is a canopied king-size bed as well as large closets, a dressing room, and an en-suite bathroom complete with dual washbasins, a floral terrazzo bathtub, and a rain shower section.
The second bedroom is in the orchid house, and it is adorned with full-length glass doors that give you killer views of (and easy access to) the garden. The Lotus house on the far end of the garden hosts the two remaining bedrooms which have identical features and an interconnecting door. These rooms are furnished with canopied queen-size beds and have their own en-suite bathrooms with open-air showers and large bathtubs.
Staff and Services
Enjoy warm Balinese hospitality from the staff who provide services such as housekeeping and security on a daily basis. There is a free shuttle bus service that takes guests to the Ubud center, where you can shop, dine, and party as much as you want to.
